Supakitch and Koralie

This is so awesome it hurts! Never before have I been so captivated by watching a process video. I want to go and create something right now! The music, the camera work, the lighting and the talent all dance nicely together this epic video. Simply amazing and truly inspirational.

Artists Supakitch and Koralie of MetroPlastique collaborate for four days, to create this stunning wall painting at the Museum of World Culture in Gothenburg, Sweden.

How Nathan Manire Creates

Nathan Manire is a talented illustrator from New York — who creates what is best described as pixel paintings of celebrities — recently updated his site with new work including portraits of some of his favorite artists like Snoop Dogg, David Bowie and Hunter S. Thompson. I asked him to send me some pictures of his process and he kindly replied with these great shots above.

While Nathan paints he creates swatch palettes with all the colors that he uses for a painting. He scans the palettes and uploads them to his flickr account. It’s interesting how these lovely swatch palettes become works of art and can easily be seperated from the illustrations as a byproduct of the process.

Thank you Nathan for the insight.

Evan Hecox

I always love to see how artists and designers go about making their masterpieces. Evan Hecox is a designer and illustrator specializing in creating graphics for posters, skateboards and the music industry. This marvelous film by Arkitip and Incase invites you to have an inside look at Evan’s creative process at his Denver studio. I especially like how it all starts with a bycicle ride and and old camera. I recommend you take the time to view this video in full screen.
